Hello! It is paradise here in southwest Florida. I am originally from Michigan and I am so happy that I moved to Cape Coral Florida. Making a long distance move can be challenging. I've been there, I know what it is like so I can help you to navigate the process and avoid many pitfalls that are difficult to anticipate if you've never made a long distance move.
If you are planning to sell a home in the Cape Coral area, I have a great marketing plan that focuses on local buyers and out of state buyers (very important because so many people from out of state are moving here). When I was an out of state buyer, I passed up many listings because they were lacking information I needed. Let me put my experience to work for you so that doesn't happen when buyers see your home online.
Let me tell you a little about the wonderful place I call home...Cape Coral Florida in Lee County. We have an average of 255 sunny days a year. In the summer, we get brief downpours mostly in the afternoon but rarely does it rain all day. Cape Coral has over 30 recreational parks which includes playgrounds, open fields, walking paths and much more. The city is also home to 7 golf courses. Cape Coral Florida is a growing community
with an estimated population of a little over 198,000 as of the end of 2021. The actual size of Cape Coral is approximately 120 square miles.
Cape Coral got its start in the late 1950's when the Rosen Brothers came from Baltimore and bought land here. Over the course of several years the canals (over 400 miles of them) were dredged and building began. Fort Myers is located just south of Cape Coral and is a short hop over the Caloosahatchee River via one of three bridges. Heading further south on US41 (Tamiami Trail) there are the communities of Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel, Estero, Bonita Springs and Naples to name a few. Heading west from Cape Coral is Matlacha and Pine Island. So much to love and explore!
Did you notice the owl at the top right side of my web site? They are called "burrowing owls". They are very cute and tilt their little heads to the side in the most adorable way. They literally do make their nests underground. If you see a white stake (like a cross) on a property, that means a burrowing owl (and probably family) lives there so you need to stay clear. They are protective of their nests and their young.
So much to love about Cape Coral and the communities in Southwest Florida!
